Elsewhere, Nalanda reported 13 cases, closely followed by nine in Nawada, Vaishali (6), Banka (4), Bhagalpur (3) and Rohtas (3) reported new cases.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh on Thursday held a review meeting with the civil surgeon, superintendents of government hospitals, health experts and directors of private hospitals and blood bank officials in the wake of rising cases of dengue.
He said a 24x7 dengue control room has been set up by the civil surgeon.
"The deputed officers will work in three shifts. The general public can contact for any assistance at 0612-2951964 or WhatsApp at 7739851777 to get information about dengue and information related to hospitalization, availability of beds, the requirement of blood and the availability of platelets in the blood bank.
A special cell formed, says DM
A register is being maintained in the control room, in which all the help will be provided to the residents by recording all the information," the DM said.
Singh said a cell has been formed under which 10 teams have been deputed to ensure easy availability of platelets in the blood bank.
"Each team comprises a medical officer and magistrate, and they will ensure the uninterrupted availability of platelets in the blood bank, assess the severity of the condition of the patients on a priority basis and ensure the availability of blood platelets. They will also ensure that no black marketing will be done and keep a constant watch on the brokers and middlemen," he said.
The DM also instructed all blood banks to update the availability of platelets on the e-Rakt Kosh portal on daily basis. He said an adequate number of beds are available in the hospitals, including 100 beds in PMCH and 75 at NMCH, while 100 beds will be added at AIIMS-Patna. Singh said that the number of beds in hospitals would be increased as per the requirement.
